I didn’t talk about presidential politics or the election in my initial blog article, except by hazy inference in a theatrical swing of the metaphoric arm of rhetoric. That – the omission – was how things gelled in that first post. But I intended the next entry to focus on that. I wanted to write another broad-perspective article glossing the caustic fragmenting and division of American political thought over a couple of decades. I wanted to land on the wheels of my own hopeful-but-guarded view of whether we will see an emerging national renewal, or at least a political clarification and a quickening.
